Only trained operators are to use the forklifts in accordance with Worksafe guidance.

Children are not to be able to access the storage facility when pallets are stacked more than two high. Only stack pallets as high as necessary.
Ensure bags are wrapped on the pallets to reduce the chances of stacks collapsing should children climb on them.
Operate the forklift at a safe speed taking the raised centre of gravity into account as the load is lifted. The higher the load the slower the speed. Avoid travelling with the load raised - only maneuver it into place.
Travel slowly and smoothly around corners taking the centre of gravity into account.
Brake smoothly.
Don't carry passengers.
Don't exceed the maximum rated capacity of the forklift.
Use the horn when travelling around blind corners and into doorways to reduce the chances of a collision.
Only operate the forklift from the operators seat.
No person should put any body part in any pinch points of the forklift. Other people should remain clear of the forklift while it is operating.
Lower the fork when leaving the forklift.
If the forklift tips hold onto the wheel and attempt to stay inside the safety cage.
